CGR 115

When i did a search for modern Osaka i found this image and thought it was quite amusing. I love the octopus so very cute and thought it might make a interesting modern logo image- though i think i might stick with the crane since it was a bit more universal for all age groups. as this was suggested i figured i would add this to for a future reference to create a polygonal crane for my logo

Typography

When i think industrial music i think gas masks and while i was searching i found this really interesting piece a horse gas mask..that would be really interesting and different for a background clip art. The first picture could have instead of the heart the festival name could be placed in the middle.

I found this image while i was looking for images of the kinetic festival and was instantly inspired. I want to make a clip art version of a girls head with falls. In these falls add the names of the bands. On her lips the date of the concert...and work from there using the colors red black and white....

This is another possible idea using an image with a mohawk...

CGR-115

when i started to look for Japanese logos i found this retro version of the Kokusai International Travel Logo. The use of negative space was appealing with what i believe to be the outline of two doves. I like the simplicity of using just two colors with a more simple flowing shape.

Here is another lovely logo that i found for the Nippon Japanese restaurant. I like that there is an element of nature with the swimming koi fish done in red. It has a nice flow with the white background making it very striking. I am leaning towards using a natural element in the osaka logo

Typography

This poster does not use typography as much as have more of a graphic element. But i love the use of the red and grey blue it makes a very striking image. With the white space being utilized perfectly- The flow of this poster is quite nice and i love the hint of background- that makes the whole piece feel as if it was a newspaper...I would love to do something like this but have more of the flow be the words in her hair-
