when i started to look for Japanese logos i found this retro version of the Kokusai International Travel Logo. The use of negative space was appealing with what i believe to be the outline of two doves. I like the simplicity of using just two colors with a more simple flowing shape.
Here is another lovely logo that i found for the Nippon Japanese restaurant. I like that there is an element of nature with the swimming koi fish done in red. It has a nice flow with the white background making it very striking.
I am leaning towards using a natural element in the osaka logo
